The professor had us work in two groups and research and write a paper on either the pros or the cons of using technology in education. I volunteered to be the group leader for the pro group. We used instant messaging for our first meeting and it was a very valuable experience trying to moderate 7 people online. It was difficult to keep them on task (the weather topic came up several times!) and actually get something accomplished but once we got rolling, it was quite fun and a valuable experience.
