Course Reflection:

This course was illuminating for me since I hadn't worked with developing curriculum to standards before. I was surprised by how much work went into developing a unit and it was helpful in that I then understood why teachers are reluctant to quickly change - they've often put a lot of effort into creating a lesson plan and assessments and refined it over time.

One aspect of this course that was interesting to me was that it taught using a database. The activity was very well structured and I learned a lot by seeing how it was taught.

Linda was the first teacher I ever had that would let you continue to submit assignments with revisions until you had it revised to your satisfaction. It was a very interesting experience for me and I valued it tremendously. It must have taken a lot of her time to continue to review and comment on my submissions but I realized that not only did the process culminate in a much better finished product, but I actually learned a lot from the refinement process.
