Course Reflection: I was surprised by how little personal exposure many of my classmates had to people with disabilities. The course was a great exposure to assistive technologies and the importance of special educators, administrators and technology coordinators working together in schools to ensure students have appropriate technology when needed was evident. How had I worked in technology in education for so many years now and not have heard of Universal Design for Learning? My final project article highlights the importance of leveraging the use of technology in schools to ensure that all students have tools that they can utilize depending on their own learning styles.
